Venugopal Dhoot was Born 30 Sep 1951 in Mumbai, India. He is an Indian business tycoon. He was born into a marwadi-banya family. Dhoot is a Jat Gotra or clan from the North Indian,in maheshwaris also found in Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan. Dhoots are respected well in society and currently live in USA, Canada, England and India. One of their villages is Dhoot Kalan in Hoshiarpur district. There are fairly large number of Dhoots in Jaipur as well. In Jaipur they are found in Padampura village. He is married, and has two children. His personal fortune is estimated to be 2 Billion dollars. His father, the late Nandlal Madhavlal Dhoot was the founder of Videocon Corporation and other businesses ventures such as, Videocon Electronics. Venugopal is chairman of Vidocon and it now makes a wide range of electronic consumer goods.
